The idea behind the design
My first portfolio website, created in 2024, really needed a refresh because its design was outdated and didn't reflect my current skills. Neither the external fonts worked nor the layout was responsive. For this new site, I focused on creating a minimalistic design while also keeping its details and playfulness. I started with some simple layouts in Figma (not too much text and some colors), then chose my favorite one and designed it further. As an example, I will briefly discuss the homepage: There are two accent colors which highlight specific words. The website now combinates the two popular fonts "Inter" and "Amiri", while also having a remarkable element - the Unicode star symbol (✧).

Mobile navigation
The new website is designed to be responsive. There are two navigation methods: a nav bar for dekstop devices and a floating action button (FAB) for mobile devices. I have rarely seen FABs on websites, even though they are great for mobile navigation. The FAB's position is ideal for mobile users, as it sits on the bottom of the screen and is easily reachable with the thumb.
